Lowe's in AdWeek: 5 Bleeding-Edge Brands That Are Infusing Retail With Artificial Intelligence

Lowe's was named as one of AdWeeks top five brands infusing retail with artificial intelligence in their CES preview article this week. Among IBM, Starbucks, Amazon and Cosabella, Lowe's was recognized as a leader in the AI retail revolution with our robotics and mixed reality concepts. LoweBot is rolling out in 11 stores this year, with AI abilities including mapping Lowe's stores, managing inventory, and using natural-language processing to assist customers find items. Furthermore, the Lowe's Hologram Experience, powered by Cortana, is launching in stores this year, which will enable hyper-personalized style recommendations curated by a data scrape of a customer's Pinterest board, viewable through the HoloLens headset.

Kyle Nel, executive director of Lowe's Innovation Labs said, "AI is going to be like electricity or the internet—it's going to be foundational technology [for] which most things are built."
