#HealthyHomesXPRIZE

Lowe’s is proud to announce that we are sponsoring one of nine international teams competing to design the next generation of potential XPRIZEs.

“XPRIZE has grown into the world’s most renowned crowdsourcing organization harnessing the genius of the crowd to solve humanity’s grand challenges through incentivized competition,” according to their website. The prize concepts are tackling a wide assortment of challenges, including Safe Drinking Water, Affordable Housing, Conquering Cancer, Nutritious Abundance, and our team’s concept, Healthy & Safe Homes.

The Healthy & Safe Homes XPRIZE will be led by architect Eric Corey Freed, one of the top 10 “Most Influential Green Architects” in the world, and will be sponsored by Lowe’s. The focus of our potential XPRIZE is to disrupt “traditional toxic construction methods with the goal of growing living and adaptable buildings that make us well.”

Our team will be presenting the Healthy & Safe Homes concept this fall at the Visioneers 2016 Summit, where we will be judged, among the other eight teams, by over 200 of the world’s leading innovators, disruptors, and business leaders. The winner will be selected as the next Global XPRIZE Competition.
