At Lowe's, we aspire to create new products and services to help customers make homes uniquely theirs. Launched as a six-month pilot in June of 2016, Bespoke Designs allowed customers at our Chelsea New York location to use 3d scanning and printing technologies for home improvement projects and various other use cases.

Customers were able to digitally repair irreplaceable broken parts, customize cabinetry hardware with monograms, replicate precious heirlooms, and much more. A 3D technician assisted to scan almost any object and turn it into a digital file, which was easily printed in metals or plastics through one of our partner networks. Bespoke designs was launched in partnership with 3D ShookDigital FormingVoodoo Manufacturing, and ExOne.

Lowe's Innovation Labs continues to investigate uses for on-demand manufacturing. Stay tuned for more information!
